In a rivalry game that was the home opener for SF City, and the season opener for the Glens the two teams picked off where they left off last year at Kezar. While the Glens got on the board early, it was City that drew even at 1-1 only to see the visitors take the lead 2-1. However, the result was different this time with the home team winning 3-2.

City will hit the road with a game at San Diego on Saturday May 11 5pm kickoff. The Glens will do so likewise with two Southern California matches against the Golden State Force on Friday May 10 at 7pm and at the Orange County 2 on Sunday May 12 at 2pm before opening up their home schedule on Friday May 17 at 6pm against the Santa Cruz Breakers.
