With the move to the Oakland Coliseum for the 2025 this could be a make or break season for the Oakland Roots, who have been vagabonds since their 2019 debut in NISA and their move up to the USL Championship two years later.  Doug at Soccer Bay Area has his take on what could happen on their return to their home town after two seasons at the Cal State East Bay campus at Hayward along with his own view on the team’s bid to build a stadium at Howard Terminal to replace the ill-fated proposal made by the baseball team before accepting a similar offer from Las Vegas.  Two weeks ago, we also provided similar insights from Jon at the Roots Blog.
