Bay FC began their second season again with a road match at Utah where they drew 1-1 before their home opener against Racing Louisville. The script was turned around where they scored early on the board in the first half and secured the three points in their first ever victory to start the home schedule.
Joelle Anderson scored off a set piece in the 11th minute to give the team the lead but it was Karlie Lima’s coast to coast run two minutes into stoppage time where she fired a lob off 20 yards out of the spot and roofed the ball into the upper right hand corner doubling the lead. The game had a bit of a scare in which Louisville midfielder Savannah DeMelo left the game with lightheadedness.
