The Quakes win 2-1 at Kansas City to start the season undefeated 2-0-0 for the first time since 2017. An early goal from Chicho Arango in the 3rd minute followed by Josef Martinez’s strike 16 minutes later provided the team with their game tally. Dejan Joveljic scored for Sporting Kansas City off a penalty kick in the 27th minute but the team held enough of the lead to get the full three points on the road. The Quakes will return home to face Minnesota this Saturday but with Hernan Lopez sitting out the next match due to his red card ejection early in the second half after accumulating two yellow cards.
