NEWS: Earthquakes Announce 2021 Regular Season Schedule (sjearthquakes.com)
The opener at Houston, the home opener against Dallas, plus a June road game at Austin to debut their MLS home have been announced. The remaining schedule is now official with a main emphasis on conference play. The Quakes will only play against two Eastern teams–they will host DC United and be on the road at Orlando. Of note–FC Dallas will open and close the Quakes home slate with matches on April 24 and November 7–which could be the last game for Chris Wondolowski.

There are more mid-week games with the Quakes hosting Seattle May 12 and September 29. Real Salt Lake comes to town September 15 and Austin FC will make their first trip to San Jose on October 20 with Danny Hoesen, Nick Lima, and Andrew Tarbell coming back as visitors.
There is one Friday Night Lights match at home with Vancouver coming to town August 13.
Due to current travel restrictions between Canada and the USA, the Whitecaps road game on October 3 will either be across the border or at another US city.
Rivalry games – more this time:
With this season focused on conference play, some games will be a three game set.
Seattle will play here in a mid-week schedule on May 12 while the return leg will be on August 1. The third match will be again at home on September 29.
The Quakes will host Portland in their only home meeting on May 15 before playing them on the road in two Wednesday night matches on August 4 and October 27.
LA and San Jose will renew their hostilities with a trip down south on Memorial Day weekend May 29. Stanford Stadium will host once more after the 2020 edition was cancelled due to Covid-19 with the match scheduled on June 26. There is one more road trip to Carson on Friday August 20.
Finally the second LA team known as LAFC will play the Quakes late in the season with the first match here on August 8 and the second on September 25. The third LA trip and only one to the city limits will be played on October 16.
As of now, there are attendance restrictions in San Jose so seating will be very limited. A select group of season ticket holders will get priority for games in April, with another group that missed or opted out of the first round will have their opportunity for the May schedule of matches. If conditions improve there may be an eventual return to near or close to full capacity. The Stanford game as of now will be available to all season ticket holders. We will keep everyone posted on any further updates.

The Roots will kick off their USL Championship debut hosting Sacramento Republic FC on June 19. The rest of the lower leagues (NPSL, UPSL, the new NSL, and USL League Two) are yet to announce some sort of schedule with only the SFSFL stating they will return to play in June.
