We were in the stands for this match so the summary from the terraces.
In a game of total domination and the only appearance of a team from the Eastern Conference the Quakes got off to an early start and never looked back with a 4-1 win over DC United. Chofis got the game started with his first goal 51 seconds into the match. The home team later went into overdrive with goals from Cade Cowell in the 26nd minute and Jackson Yueill in the in the 43rd minute. In the second half with five minutes left to go plus stoppage time Yueill provided a free kick strike to put the game out of reach. The only blemish in the match was the lone DC goal from Tony Alfaro in the 31st minute.
The one person who did not factor into the game was Chris Wondolowski who served a red card suspension for this match. Due to current conditions the bedlam from 2019 against Philadelphia was absent but his spirit was there with the attendance of 3000 people who were entertained to an offensive blowout.
With his first half goal and his assist from Chofis to start the game Cowell was named the Player of the Week and the Best XI, along with Jackson Yueill for his two goal performance.
