The Town FC v Tacoma Defiance

The Town FC come from behind to draw even against Tacoma Defiance in their second appearance at PayPal Park this season.  In the penalty shootout to determine which team got the extra point it was three misses from each side that gave the keepers the upper hand.  It took a spot kick win from Aaron Edwards to get the victory for The Town.  Chris Aquino gave the visitors the lead 17 minutes into the game but it was Eduardo Blancas with the penalty kick to draw the game even.  Emi Ochoa made four saves in regulation and once again provided the heroics with his goalkeeping in the penalty kick round.  The win keeps The Town in playoff contention.

The photo album is coming soon.

Next up for The Town FC is a road trip to Portland to face the second team on Sunday September 1 at 1pm, while Tacoma continue their roadtrip to face LAFC 2 on Friday August 30 at 7:30pm.

Sacramento v San Antonio FC

Sacramento Republic defeat San Antonio FC 1-0 thanks to a late penalty kick from substitute Russell Cicerone in the 85th minute.  Danny Vitello made a save and faced only two shots on his way to the clean sheet.  The win kept pace with New Mexico who currently stand in first place and ahead of Memphis and Oakland, who played to a draw down the road at Hayward.

Our photo album is here along with select photos from the match.  Some of the highlights includes College Night and a Beer Festival.
