The Town FC continued their home winning ways by defeating Sporting KC II 2-0. Riley Lynch in the 34th minute and Julian Donnery in the 54th accounted for the team goals.

Next up for The Town FC is another home match against Real Monarchs on Sunday July 21 at 5pm while SKC II will return home to face interstate rival St. Louis II on the same day 4pm start.
In the last game of the 2024 season for both the match was for San Francisco/San Mateo County bragging rights. SF City got a goal from Marco Jacques in the 3rd minute with a long range strike. That accounted for the only tally of the game and SF City held on to the win, and a sweep of the season series.
The Glens will officially move to their Treasure Island facility for the 2025 season having been delayed mainly because of weather issues. SF City hopes to continue on an upward progression after an arrangement with SF Muni, keeping the team in the USL League Two since 2016. The match has evolved into an inter-city rivalry in US Soccer to go along the likes of New York and Los Angeles. For the 2024 USL League Two NorCal Division Almaden FC takes the title in their first year and Project 51O return to the fold fending off Monterey Bay 2 for the second spot.
The Quakes lose to Sporting KC 2-1. Erik Thommy scored the first goal of the match with his strike in the 48th minute and Alan Pulido doubled the lead nine minutes later. The Quakes got their tally when Khiry Shelton from the visiting team tapped the ball into his own goal in the 82th minute.

The Quakes have a quick turnaround with their match against Houston on Wednesday July 17 at 7:30pm. Sporting KC continues their road trip on the same day and time at Vancouver. Each team will have one more weekend match before the MLS schedule shifts to the Leagues Cup with the Quakes at Minnesota on Saturday July 20 at 5:30pm and Sporting hosting interstate rival St. Louis on the same day and time.

Bay FC didn’t get off to a good start and never recovered as they lose to the Washington Spirit in the last NWSL game before the Olympic break–during the hiatus the team will play matches against San Diego, Angel City, and Liga MX Femenil team Club America in the Summer Cup. The Quakes snap their six game losing streak with a 1-0 win over the Chicago Fire. The victory was the first for interim Head Coach Ian Russell. Hernan Lopez scored the only goal of the match in the 49th minute off a pass from Cristian Espinoza and William Yarbrough earned the clean sheet.
Next for the Quakes is another home game against Sporting Kansas City on Saturday July 13 at 7:30pm while Chicago returns home to face New York City FC on the same day 5:30pm start.
SF City break a 1-1 tie to win over Marin FC 2-1 before their largest crowd since 2019 with an attendance of about 1000 people at Kezar Stadium. Kiichi Murakami scored first in the 23rd minute while Joe Blakely of Marin drew the score even before halftime. Salvador Sandoval provided the game winner in the 65th minute.
Next up for SF City is a trip across the bay to play Project 51O on Wednesday July 10 at 6pm before returning home to Kezar to conclude their schedule against the Glens on Sunday July 14 at 2:30pm, while Marin FC finish their schedule on the road with matches at Monterey Bay 2 on the same Wednesday at 7pm before concluding their season on Saturday July 13 at 2pm against Project 51O.
In the last league game before the Olympic break, Bay FC was hoping to gather momentum in the playoff race for the first year team. However, they stumbled out of the gate and never recovered as they lose to the Washington Spirit 3-0. Makenna Morris scored early in the 4th minute with an open strike into the box followed by a penalty kick goal from Trinity Rodman in the 21st minute. Ouleymata Sarr gave the visitors an insurance goal with her second half tally in the 57th minute and the victory.
Both teams had their Olympic team players honored after the game with Rachel Kundananji representing Zambia, Asisat Oshoala for Nigeria, and Lysianne Proulx for Canada. The Washington Spirit players were also honored with three players from the USA: Trinity Rodman, Casey Kruger, and Hal Hershfelt for the USA, and Gabby Carle joining Proulx for Canada.

With the Olympic break from now until August, the next league game for Bay FC will be against Utah Royals on August 23 at 6:30 pm while the Washington Spirit will resume at home against Kansas City on August 25 at 9am. During the hiatus the NWSL clubs will play against the teams from Liga MX Femenil in the Summer Cup. Bay FC will open on the road at San Diego on July 20 before returning home to face Angel City on July 26 and Club America on August 2 with the top four group winners with the most points out of five advancing to the semi-finals at CPKC Stadium in Kansas City on August 6 before the final at Toyota Field in San Antonio on October 25.
Two second half goals from Julian Donnery in the 65th minute and Cruz Medina in the 83rd gave The Town FC a 2-0 win over the Colorado Rapids second team. A spot kick save from goalkeeper Emi Ochoa preserved the tie early in the second half.
Next up for The Town FC is another home game against Sporting KC 2 on Sunday July 14 at 5pm while Rapids 2 return home to face North Texas SC on the same day at 7pm.
Monterey Bay continue their Bay Area road trip with a match across the bay against Project 51O on Saturday July 6 at 2pm, while SF City continue their homestand against Marin FC on Sunday July 7 at 2pm.
